The Minister responsible for the Nauru Phosphate Royalties
Trust, Hon. Shadlog Bernicke MP in conjunction with the Chairman
and Trustees of the Nauru Phosphate Royalties Trust, wish to advise
all Ronwan beneficiaries of the delay in the proposed distribution
of Ronwan 2007 that was scheduled for distribution prior to June
30, 2013.
The Trust has encountered a number of issues associated with the
proper allocation of royalty entitlements, as well as the
completeness of the 2007 lands data that are currently subject to
urgent review by the relevant Government departments. Upon
completion of this review, a further announcement to beneficiaries
concerning the distribution date will be made.
The Minister wishes to convey his disappointment with the
inability of the distribution to be effected by 30 June 2013 and
wishes to ensure all beneficiaries that all measures are being
taken to ensure that the delay is kept to a minimum.
