His Excellency David
W.R. Adeang was re-elected President of the Republic of Naoero on
14 October 2025 for a consecutive term. The president of Naoero is
the Head of Government and Head of State and is elected by 18
members of parliament, excluding the Speaker who is the
19th MP.
The President is the Chairman of the Cabinet, and minister
responsible for the Finance & Sustainable Development, Public
Service, Internal Affairs, Multicultural Affairs, Eigigu
Procurement Limited, Eigigu Solutions Corporation, Naoero RPC
Corporation, Health & Medical Services, Naoero Public Health,
Eigigu Holdings Corporation, Commerce and Foreign Investment,
Naoero Seabed Minerals Authority, Naoero Economic and Climate
Resilience Citizenship, Naoero Consumer Protection Authority, and
Naoero Postal Services Corporation.
